Subscription Review: BYOB GloBox

With the new year, GloBox has brought in an amazing concept of BYOB… Build Your Own Box!! Sounds amazing?? It is!!! This concept assures you get what you want in an amazing box at a price that’s unbelievable.

About the Brand

GloBox is not just another beauty subscription box in the market. They believe everyone has specific needs and preferences when it comes to skincare and makeup, so every box is customized to suit its subscriber.

You can get a monthly, 3 months, 6 months or yearly subscription and based on a survey questionnaire you update, your products will be customized to your needs every month.

They also sell the products on-line and can get a range of skin care, hair care, makeup, wellness products, appliances and tools on their site.

And recently they started the BYOB concept. To match their usual subscription box, you can choose 5 full size products but you get to choose which. You get a selection from a range of products and you can choose one for each of the 5 product sets.

I received the box, neatly packaged and bubble wrapped with the products securely wrapped inside. The box itself is beautiful with a magnetic clasp. Perfect for storage!

The invoice had the individual products list and their prices, but since this is customized there is no individual product info card.

I also received a few discount cards for different online brands.

1. MUA LUXE Bronze & Sculpt Contour Kit

 

I chose this beautiful contour kit in the Medium/Dark shade, which I was sure would be an excellent match to bronze and Contour my medium toned complexion. Firstly, just look at the packaging. It is gorgeous. How can anyone resist this, but it was only available in one shade, luckily it was the one I wanted. The other shades were out of stock.

Price: ₹850 for 20gm

2. MUA Glamour Days – Eye shadow Palette

This group of products had an amazing collection of palettes from  MUA, Freedom & Makeup Revolution. I chose the MUA Glamour Days as most of the shades appealed to me. With a beautiful mix of matte & shimmer shades this palette is perfect for a day or night look.

Price: ₹1050 for 9gm

3. Nicka K Auto Eyeliner – Deep Sky Blue

This was an immediate choice from the options available. A beautiful blue eyeliner is exactly what I was looking for and this immediately caught my eye. Love the formula which is creamy and glides on effortlessly.

Price: ₹199 for 0.3gm

4. LAC Cream Lipstick Latte

To be honest, this group didn’t really appeal to me too much, as the products I liked were all outta stock. But this lipstick was the best of the lot and though I rarely use lipsticks, this was a good choice. An absolutely lovely, matte brownish nude shade with a beautiful non-drying formula which is light on the lips.

Price: ₹395 for 3.8gm

5. Greenberry Organics Bio Active D-Tan Exfoliating Scrub

The only skin care product I chose (so unlike me!!), this is a product I have had my eye on. Greenberry products are always on my priority as they are always so good. Have heard rave reviews of the creamy scrub infused with coconut, aloevera and raspberry extracts, and am super excited to try it.

Price: ₹575 for 100gm

Can you believe I got all these at such an amazing price! The Total Cost of the products was a whopping ₹3069 and I got it at ₹999 with a saving of ₹2,120.

Very unlike me to opt for a box with so much of makeup but I just could not resist this one. Suggest you check out the options as the products go out of stock super quickly and may be replenished with alternative products.

Honestly, I am keeping an eye out and I possibly am going to get myself another box!!
