Product Review: Aura Vedic Clear Skin Serum & Dark Spots Corrector

Serums are those potent solutions which are generally light and penetrate deep into the layers of your skin bringing about the desired results quicker and more evidently. A favorite brand, Aura Vedic introduced two serums to target dark spots, pigmentation and acne and I have been loving the results.

Using them together, one for my day time routine and one for my night time. They have really started to show results and once again Aura Vedic has impressed me with their quality products.

Clear Skin Serum – No More Breakouts – Acne Control

Aura Vedic Dark Spots Corrector – No More Spots – Blemish Control

I have been using these both as I have been facing a few break outs recently and of course with age we all get those dark spots and pigmentation patches. Using the Clear Skin Serum as part of my morning after bath skin routine and the Dark Spots Corrector as part of my night skin care routine. I split them so there is minimum sun exposure post use of the dark spot corrector as that my interfere with its effectiveness.

Let’s talk about each in more detail:

Clear Skin Serum – No More Breakouts – Acne Control

A light serum with a slight yellowish colour tinge, it settles easily on the skin and initially my leave a little tacky feeling but in a few minutes is completely absorbed. It has a relatively strong herbal fragrance, specifically neem & tulsi.

Packaging:

It is packaged well in a slim pump bottle with a transparent cap making it easy to travel with. The bottle is white in colour with a floral print. It has ingredients and usage details printed on the bottle.

Ingredients:

The ingredients include Neem, Tulsi, Calendula, Tea Tree oil, Jojoba oil, Argan oil, Wheatgerm oil, Almond oil and Salicylic Acid. All these have anti-bacterial & anti-inflammatory properties to help subside the effect of active acne and prevent any new breakouts. Being a serum, this penetrates deep in the skin layers and works from within. It also helps in maintaining the skins hydration levels to ensure the skin doesn’t dry out and stays healthy and nourished.

₹450 for 50ml

My Experience:

All you need is just one pump of this slightly tacky serum and that is sufficient to pat all over your face. It is easily absorbed leave behind no stickiness and a hydrated feeling. A very slight tingly feeling can occur when used over existing breakouts, but subsides in a few seconds. The serum does leave a herbal fragrance which lingers for a while. Regular use definitely shows results. The first couple of uses itself, will have an impact on active acne, by shrinking them down and reducing inflammation.

Pro’s:

• Helps reduce future breakouts

Cons:

• Strong Herbal fragrance

Aura Vedic Dark Spots Corrector – No More Spots – Blemish Control

A relatively lighter serum, this has a light white opaque colour but is like water in texture. It is absorbed into the skin very easily leaving no residue behind. It has a more floral fragrance to it which is pleasant but doesn’t last long.

This serum is definitely effective as it shows a fading of dark spots in hardly a week of use, and that is indeed very impressive.

Packaging:

Similarly packaged in a slim, pump bottle with a transparent cap, this too is easy to travel with. The bottle is white in colour with an alternate floral print. This too has ingredients and usage details printed on the bottle.

Ingredients:

The ingredients include Amla, licorice, orange oil, wheatgerm, oil, argan oil, arbutin, kojic Acid dipalmitate and hydroxyethyl acrylate. All of these extracts have lightening properties which helped clear the skin and fade scars or spots. It too penetrates the skins layers and works in removing the scar from within. The skin is kept amply hydrated which in turn brightens the skin from inside.

Price:

₹550 for 50ml

My Experience:

Extremely light, one pump is enough and the serum is absorbed in a few seconds. This needs to be just patted into the skin with a tapping motion with the fingertips. I love the fact that it keeps my skin hydrated throughout the night and visible has helped control the oil levels of the skin.

Pro’s:

• Natural skin lightening plant extracts
• Quick absorbing and visibly effective
• Keeps the skin well hydrated
• Suitable for all skin types

Cons:

• Except for being a little pricey, no con and its results really speak for itself.

A thumbs up for both these serums by Aura Vedic from me, as they truly show amazing results with natural ingredients.

I would highly recommend a patch test for any of these products before use.
