Product Review: Carbon Coco Natural Teeth Whitening Ultimate Carbon Kit

I know there was a lot of curiosity and a lot of questions when I posted on Instagram about trying out the carbon coco teeth whitening kit, so here I am finally with my review.

I have always been someone who took oral hygiene very seriously, without a single cavity till date, I have always taken pride in my bright, infectious smile!!

Whilst I didn’t have too many problems with my oral care, who doesn’t want whiter teeth right? And an all-natural solution is something straight outta a fairy tale! So had to get my hands on the Ultimate Carbon Kit.

This kit arrived in around 2 weeks and was perfectly packaged with a satin draw-string bag to store the products, a toothbrush, a jar of the activated charcoal tooth polish, an activated charcoal toothpaste and an instructions card.

Packaging:

All products are packaged in a classy black finish! Love the aesthetics of the packaging!!!

The tooth polish is packaged in a screw-top plastic tub, filled to the brim, so gotta be careful while opening it.

The toothpaste is an 80gm tube and you really need very little toothpaste at a time so it does last a while.

Ingredients:

The tooth polish is made of finely milled Organic Coconut Activated Charcoal with a hint of Bentonite Clay and Lemon Myrtle. This special formula helps in detoxifying the mouth and removing stains, whilst being gentle on the teeth and gums! It has zero taste and smell and though it looks quite scary whilst using it, it leaves no residue or color behind and rinses off easily.

The toothpaste is an amazing formula that doesn’t contain fluoride. It does however contain activated charcoal! The toothpaste is black but turns into white foam while brushing, and it has a minty taste. This part of the kit is used like our everyday toothpaste, so just another regular brushing just with the benefits of activated charcoal.

My Experience

We have all been hearing about the crazy benefits of activated charcoal, and I personally have reviewed so many products like face washes, face scrubs and even soaps with activate charcoal. So, it’s time for oral hygiene to incorporate activated charcoal!

The activated charcoal used by Carbon Coco is charcoal made from 100% certified organic coconut shell. This is a super finely milled charcoal powder so your teeth aren’t harmed or damaged in the process. This medical grade activated charcoal powder removes toxins, stains and plaque from your teeth by binding with these particles and flushing them out of your mouth. The product also contains Bentonite clay which helps to re-mineralize the teeth. Lemon Myrtle is added to this to provide a gentle anti-bacterial action.

Directions for use are simple. Wet your brush and dip it in the fine charcoal powder, and then simply brush with it. No taste and no smell so it just feels like you are brushing without applying a paste. But look in the mirror and you will be surprised at the black mess in your mouth.

Not to worry though it easily rinses off, so post a 3-minute brush just rinse out with water.

Post using the polish, just use the activated charcoal toothpaste in place of your regular toothpaste and rinse out as usual after a good 3-minute brush.

This toothpaste can be used to replace your regular paste in the morning, but this entire procedure is recommended to be done before bed-time so it can work through the night, while you get your beauty sleep!

Now for the results:

The below pic is proof itself! This was a before and an after post 14 days trial. I didn’t swap my morning toothpaste and used this only as a night time routine and to be honest, even missed a day or two in-between (forgetful me!!) but the results were evident.

I plan on continuing this for a while longer and do a complete 14 days series again. The product lasts as it even a quarter empty, so it proves to be worth the investment and I hope to see even better results.

I think this does work a lot better on people with stained teeth like smokers or coffee drinkers and will take time to work on the natural discolouration of teeth developed over years.
