Today’s post is part two of my Lass Naturals product reviews. For those of you who missed the previous one, below is the link.
Today I am going to talk about a product that really didn’t impress me as much. It’s not that the product is bad, but I guess with my past experience, my expectations were a bit too high of Lass Naturals.
Lass Naturals Peach & Apricot Shea Butter Lip Balm
With all lip balms, the basic intention is to heal chapped lips and protect them from drying out.
This lip balm is a natural treatment for healing and protecting dry, chapped lips and for enhancing and bringing out the natural color of lips. This gradually helps the lips regain natural elasticity by sealing in moisture. The natural healing, soothing and conditioning properties of Shea Butter, Kokum Butter and Grape Seed Oil are combined to create this most nourishing remedy for lips.
This lip balm comes in a standard lip balm pot but has a protective seal between the lid and product to avoid any spillage and that’s a positive.
The outer packaging was quite impressive. instead of the standard box, it had an additional flap to ensure the pot didn’t shake around inside the box & the design was quite eye-catching.
This lip balm is quite the standard product one can get in the market and I had high expectations which led to a little disappointment.
Being a peach & apricot lip balm, I expected a peachy undertone with a sheer finish kind of lip balm, but the lip balm was a bright reddish colour and quite heavily pigmented. Too much for my preference.
The lip balm primarily contains shea butter, so I really expected it to be quite creamy and rich in consistency, but sadly that wasn’t the case either. It was quite waxy to touch and created a layer on the lips with a slight nourishing effect, and it faded off quite easily. It may work better under a cream lipstick, as on its own it would require touch ups too often.
- It did the basic job of a lip balm and did seem to sooth the lips on application.
- Will work for those who prefer highly pigmented lip balms.
- Paraben & petroleum jelly free
- Feel the pigmentation was a bit too much for a lip balm and didn’t last too long on the lips.
I would rate this product a 6/10.
The product is reasonably priced at ₹95 for an 8gm pot.
