As the trend of subscription boxes increases, so does the variety of subscriptions available. Gone are the days when these beauty subscription boxes were a unique concept, now we have so many options available ranging from average to high-end products.
And then along comes Glamego… finally someone to satisfy the craving of beauty products, at a negligible pinch to the pocket.
Not only is this box available at the surprisingly low cost of ₹199 per month, but they also promise customization. Every month, from the selected list of products, you will receive a box with full sized & deluxe sample beauty products, customized to your profile.
On subscribing to their service, you are expected to fill out a beauty profile… details on what skin type do you have to what kind of colours you like. It is quite an exhaustive list and ensures that you can definitely expect something which would suit you, be it a specific shade or a product for a specific skin type.
That’s not all, there’s much more to the brand than just a subscription box. They have their own online store and blog providing so much information on skin-care, hair-care and makeup. Seems like glamego is out to build their own little community… and I am just loving it!!
At a price that low, one would not really expect high quality products, but it’s great to see glamego are tied up with amazing brands who have their products selling in their online store, like Inveda, Lakme, Kronokare, Bio Bloom, Blue Heaven, Aura Vedic, Aroma treasures, Natural Bath & Body, Nyssa, SeaSoul, The Natures Co, Vedic line and even Thalgo & Victoria’s Secret.
The products come nicely packaged in a brown eco-friendly cardboard box with the branding across the top. A simple yet smart look!
Inside the products are bubbled wrapped neatly and placed atop some paper shreds to give it some protection and a rustic look.
On top of it all, is an information card with details of the products inside. I did feel that the customization to the card was missing, especially since many other subscription boxes do make you feel special by creating the info card with your name, and customization being a selling point for this box, that would have been highly appreciated.
“Blow Away the Harsh Cold Winds of Winter” the theme of the March Glam Box and the list of products is showcased on the card.
Another unfortunate negative to the box is that the card lists out 5 products and I received only 4. I did connect with their team and was told the box had four products only and there was a either/or between two of them. Considering the value for money quotient of the box, I didn’t mind 4 products but the fact that the card was misleading was a little disappointing.

Bio bloom Lip Balm
Lip Balms are something that one can’t get enough and I have a neat little collection but more are always welcome, especially an all natural product like the Bio Bloom organic Mint Lip Balm.
Packed with all natural beneficial ingredients like Coconut oil, beeswax, Vitamin E oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa butter and mint oil, this lip balm is ideal to repair, heal and moisturize chapped lips. The formula is perfect so it doesn’t melt out, and yet can be smoothly applied. It has this cooling mint feeling when applied to the lips, with a strong mint fragrance like popping a polo in your mouth. It leaves the lips with a light coating but doesn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable at all.

SeaSoul Dead Sea Hydrating Facial Kit
This all in one facial kit is just perfect for that much needed at-home spa day! The small box comes power packed with 6 different numbered sachets and instructions on how to use it for best results.
All natural and organic, this product is free from any SLS or Parabens making it super beneficial for the pampering of your skin. It includes a phytogel clarifying foam cleanser, 3-in-1 facial polish, intensive deep tissue facial massage cream, dead sea facial mud mask, intensive soothing toning gel and a mineralized whitening cream with SPF25.
This 6 step facial claims to deep cleanse and clarify the skin, treat blemishes and rashes, whiten and brighten the skin, unblock and reduce pores, even out skin tone and infuse Dead Sea minerals into the skin. Extremely promising and knowing the excellent quality of SeaSoul products, I can’t wait to use this.
The sachet quantity does seem a little much for a single use and since they are sachets, it will be hard to store, so I would advise having a little facial party with your mom, sister or a friend.

Lass Naturals Foot Cream
A lesser known, all natural brand with skin care, hair care and bath & body products made with Ayurveda formulas, Lass Naturals has a variety of natural products available at reasonable prices.
This product of theirs, an amazing foot cream is perfect to repair cracked and dry heels. With a strong floral fragrance, this white cream heals and soothes cracked heels. It is an amazing moisturizer and helps in maintaining the health of your feet by softening and smoothening and protecting the skin from getting rough and cracked. It also acts as an emollient and skin freshener, keeping the feet fresh and healthy.
The cream is kind of oily to the touch, spreads easily but is easily absorbed into the skin. It doesn’t leave any greasy feeling once it has had a few minutes to be absorbed but it does leave a nice floral fragrance.

Kronokare City Detox Face Wash
This sample bottle contains a sulphate, mineral oil, paraben, silicone and fragrance free face wash which smells just heavenly. Loaded with essential oils, this light face wash, lathers up and cleanses the skin beautifully without ripping it off moisture.
It is power packed with extracts of plants and flowers and gives back to your skin that natural glow by deep cleansing and giving back that natural glow.

I am absolutely in awe of the wonderful quality of products received at such an affordable price (₹199 for products worth ₹700). And what impresses me so much more, is that all the brands & products are natural and eco-friendly, just like glamego!
They also offer a 50% off on products you received in your box so after trying them out, you can repurchase the product at half price! What more could one want!!
